R&S Launches New Logo Amidst Supply Chain Growth

April 16, 2024

We’ve unveiling a new logo and a new look. Amidst continued supply chain growth within the last several years, it was time for our brand to get an update. Though we’ve got a new look and more services, the same heart and ethos remain.

COVID-19 Changed the Global Supply Chain

For many businesses and companies around the globe, COVID-19 will now be a marker in the sand or an ebenezer of sorts much like 9/11. It was an impactful time as new challenges presented new opportunities for innovation, agility, and grit. It’s no different for us at R&S.

It acted as a catalyst to project our business into a new phase of growth. Acquiring several new warehouses and expanding to Savannah, Georgia were strategic moves to better serve our customers. Not to mention, the needs of our customers ebbed and flowed with the changing supply chain dynamic across the globe. As they needed new services, we learned to adapt with them. In that time, we learned how to transport new materials including chemicals and food products, we learned how to repackage pre-packaged items, we learned how to make a plan one day and pivot the next.

R&S Team

We Grew In Our Services & Our Skills

After 2 years, we got a chance to catch our breath. We gathered as a leadership team to evaluate our goals, mission, and vision for the next year ahead. Reflecting on how much we’d grown, we saw significant changes in our skills and talents as a team and our services as a company. (You can learn about many of the value-add services we grew in here.) No longer were we just a warehousing and storage company providing logistics support in Knoxville, but now we discovered we had so much more to offer our customers here and beyond.

With this in mind, we started talking about a new look for our business. With more to provide for our customers, we wanted something that embodied all of our services. Plus, with so many key learnings and insights gleaned from COVID-19, we had grown as professionals in significant ways. As we like to say, we each have a master’s degree in hard knocks.

We grew to become:

  • more agile
  • more adaptable
  • more excellent at our craft

Our New Logo

True to our humble beginnings, our new logo and rebrand represents our continued values, beliefs, and mission. Our business has never been about us; it’s always been about the customer. In growing and learning alongside our customers these past few years, we hope that this rebrand and new logo symbolize all we can do to elevate our customers and help them reach their potential.

So though we may have a new look, we’re still the same R&S. Same mission, same people, same heart.

With this new look, we hope to also attract the right customers. So many of our customers have used our business when they’ve reached the pinnacle within their business journey. They’ve come to the fork in the road as business owners where they can no longer juggle all that fulfillment, logistics, and warehousing holds on a day to day business. They need people that will partner with them in finding solutions to their growing business in order to scale efficiently, scale profitably, and scale effectively. We’ve always taken the approach of not just working with our customers, but we want to partner with them. Many in our industry can serve as the band-aid for a quick fix, but we want to link arms with them.

We Own Their Supply Chain Like It Was Our Own

For customers that are at this point in their business journey, this is the most exciting yet scary time. Letting go of parts of their business can be challenging, yet we hope to make that process seamless to empower them to do what they need to do knowing we’re owning their supply chain like it was our own.

This rebrand symbolizes this in so many ways. The whimsical, clever look shows our agility and tenacity, and  the curly R and ampersand symbolizes our partnership with our customers at some of their most crucial, pinnacle moments in their business. Dropping the word logistics in our logo is also so significant as it shows that we are more than just logistics. In fact, we aren’t a logistics company; we’re a supply chain solutions company.

Our True North

The 4 point compass represents our 4 specialties (warehousing, 3PL, value-add and kitting, and fulfillment) and our 4 values (tenacity, invested, stewardship, and agility). It also serves to represent our Christian ethics and morals that guide all that we do.

Since many customers have been with us for years, we didn’t want to change our look too drastically. Though we’ve grown in skills and services, our hearts remain the same. We still bleed red and white, and our values haven’t changed. We’ve learned a thing or two, especially since COVID-19, but we’re still the same R&S. Our mission and vision have only been strengthened by the experiences we’ve lived through. Hearing our customer’s testimonials and feedback has only renewed our values to serve them well. Watching our partnerships benefit the world and everyday households has only reminded us of the bigger story we’re a small part of.

Therefore, it was time for a rebrand to say the least. We’re so excited to launch this knowing it will only help catalyze our next steps of growth for our customers, for our company, and for our community.
